4 Tips For Your Breasts and Nipples Care While Breastfeeding

Breastfeeding may not be the best experience if you are facing breastfeeding challenges. However, breastfeeding is the best bonding moment between you and your baby.

We want to help mommies create the best bonding moment between you and your baby. Be mindful and take care of your breasts and nipples during your breastfeeding journey so that you can continue breastfeed your baby without interruption. We have 4 tips for breastfeeding mommies on how to care for your breasts and nipples.

  1. Clean your hands frequently.
Wash your hands with soap and water before each feeding. You should only touch your breasts and nipples with clean hands.

  2. Make sure your baby is latching on well.
A good breastfeeding latch helps to prevent sore nipples. When your baby latches onto your breast correctly, he/she will have your entire areola and your nipple should be deep inside your baby’s mouth.

  3. Clean your nipples with water after breastfeeding.
Avoid using soap or shampoo on your nipples. Wash your nipples with just water, as soaps can remove your natural lubrication. This lubrication prevents your nipples from drying out and cracking while nursing. If you are out and seeking convenience, you may opt to use our Wet Cleaning Cotton to give your nipples a quick wipe!

  4. Only wear clean bras.
Wear a clean bra with proper support each day. We suggest wearing nursing bras which are the most practical when it comes to breastfeeding. Cotton bras are also recommended as it has higher breathability.

We hope these tips will help you with your breastfeeding journey! And here is another article that may help you to avoid breastfeeding challenges.
